The idea of forming Pixel 13 Design evolved from the need in our local area of functional advertising. We noticed that several companies are investing in advertising; however, many times because of a weak design or lack of marketing strategies, the true message is distorted. As a result, companies' marketing efforts lead to no results. Pixel 13 Design wants to assist customers promote their business effectively using advertising strategies, graphic design, and quality printing.

Alejandro Hernandez
Creative Director
Our graphic designer and illustrator, Alejandro Hernandez, developed his passion for design when he was young. He helped out at a Print Shop when he was 14, and since then he has never stopped creating designs. He studied at U.A.N.L in Monterrey. Also, he has been in contact with the US market since 2006. He has completed many projects from logos to posters to brochures to websites, he enjoys the creative challenge, working directly with the clients, and pushing himself to produce the best work possible.
He recently completed one of his biggest projects, designing a new magazine that was to be launched. He was able to create graphics for 80 pages of content, and an appealing cover page that attracted consumers to take a look inside and become future readers. He also created the logo and image for the new magazine, which was a success in the market area.
Some of Alejandro’s hobbies are music, caring for his cat, soccer, and video games. He is also very concerned about social and environmental issues.
Amparo Moran
Marketing Director
Amparo Moran is our marketing specialist. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Texas Pan American. In 2010, she graduated from the same university with a Master in Business Administration, MBA. The MBA gave her a different edge in marketing which has allowed her to look beyond the obvious and develop more effective marketing campaigns. She has 5 years experience in the field of marketing. While in the MBA program, she was able to work on a big project for the city of McAllen. She created a full advertising campaign to promote the city of McAllen to visitors and investors.
One of her goals in Pixel 13 Design is to help customers brand their companies. She can develop a new brand that will succeed in the market, or transform an already existing brand in order to strengthen it. She possesses the marketing skills that with our creative designers can create an efficient advertising campaign for your new launching or your already existing company.
Amparo loves to play tennis. She played tennis since she was 12 years old. Other hobbies include reading, watching TV shows such as Big Bang Theory, How I met your mother, The Walking Death, etc, and loving her 12 year old chihuhua.
Sergio Dominguez
Management Consultant
Sergio Dominguez brings to Pixel 13 Design his experience in management consulting. He supervises our internal activities in order to facilitate business processes in our company. Sergio holds a bachelor degree in International Business and an MBA (Master in Business Administration). He maintains our internal activities running smoothly, to allow us to better serve our customers. His experience in cost effective management has allowed our company to position itself competitively in the market.
Sergio plays the guitar on his free time. His old time favorite band is Mana. He also plays soccer and racquetball. He is closed to being called a video game addict.
Ruben Peña
Web Developer
When it comes to developing smooth and fresh websites that the client will love, Ruben has the skills and knoledge to pull it off. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas Pan-American and has been working in the software development field ever since. His strenghts are web aplications in java, but is also fluent in PHP, javascript, html5, css3 and others.
On a more personal note, Ruben is a very reserved but outgoing person. He likes meeting new people and talking about a wide variety of topics. He's always looking for positive attitudes.
